We hear you, Apple users!

CamRequest is currently focused on Android and Web, and while an iOS app is on our roadmap, we made a deliberate strategic choice: we are focusing 100% on growth and core stability first.

Building a real-time, low-latency live video streaming and mapping network requires rapid iteration. Here is why we chose to build and scale on Android first:

  • Speed of Innovation: Early-stage platforms need fast release cycles. Focusing our development resources on a single mobile ecosystem allows us to push updates, test new interactive streaming features, and fix issues in hours rather than weeks.
  • Server & Network Scaling: Before expanding across every platform, our priority is hardening our backend architecture, real-time map syncing, and global stream capacity to ensure zero buffering and rock-solid performance.
  • Building a Thriving Creator Base: Live, on-demand streaming works best when there is an active global network of streamers and viewers ready to connect. Concentrating our early community growth helps build high liquidity on the map faster.
  • No Half-Baked Ports: When CamRequest launches on iOS, we want it to feel completely native, polished, and fully featured—not a rushed companion app.
How you can use CamRequest on iOS today:

In the meantime, you can explore live streams, view active map markers, and interact with the platform directly via your iPhone or iPad browser at the CamRequest Dashboard. Additionally, a Private CamRequest can be sent to iOS users to start a two-way live stream directly in the browser. Receiving a Private CamRequest invitation works from any platform, including iOS.
